  1. Introduction

Get Financial Savvy (“GFS”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).

This Privacy Statement explains what personal information we may collect through getfinancialsavvy.co.za, why we collect it, how it may be used and the rights available to you.

  1. Information We May Collect

Depending on how you use this website, we may collect:

  • Your name and email address when you request a free checklist, subscribe to communications or contact us.
  • Information supplied when purchasing or downloading a digital product.
  • Transaction details necessary to process and record an order. Payment card or banking details are processed by the relevant payment service provider and are not stored directly by GFS.
  • Technical information such as your browser type, device information, IP address and pages visited, where this is collected through website security, cookies or analytics tools.
  • Any information you voluntarily provide when communicating with us.

Please do not provide personal information that is unnecessary for the purpose of your enquiry or transaction.

  1. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Deliver a requested checklist, resource or digital product.
  • Process and administer purchases.
  • Respond to enquiries or requests.
  • Send educational updates or marketing communications when you have subscribed or otherwise permitted us to do so.
  • Maintain the security, functionality and performance of the website.

  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

Personal information will only be used for the purpose for which it was collected, or for a compatible and lawful purpose.

  1. Email Communications and MailerLite

GFS uses MailerLite to manage subscriptions and deliver email communications and downloadable resources. Information submitted through a subscription form may therefore be processed and stored by MailerLite on our behalf.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link included in the email. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending essential transactional or administrative communications relating to a request or purchase.

  1. Cookies and Technical Information

This website uses essential cookies required for security, shopping functions, consent preferences and normal website operation. It may also use analytical and marketing technologies to understand website use and measure advertising effectiveness.

Our cookie banner allows visitors to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies or choose individual preferences. Consent preferences are stored for 365 days and can be changed through the cookie-preferences control on the website.

We use the Meta Pixel and related Meta integration to record events such as page views, product views, products added to a cart, checkout activity and completed purchases. This helps us measure and improve advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

Depending on how a visitor interacts with the website, Meta may receive technical and usage information such as an IP address, browser or device details, page addresses, cookie identifiers and purchase-event information. We have not enabled Meta’s Events Enrichment feature.

The Meta marketing cookie “_fbp” may remain on a visitor’s device for up to 90 days. Visitors can manage Meta marketing tracking by selecting “Reject All” or disabling Marketing Cookies under “Customize” in the cookie banner. Cookies can also be controlled or deleted through browser settings.

Further information is available in the Meta Privacy Policy and Meta Business Tools Terms.

  1. Information Security

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
